AirAsia announces resumption of PH domestic flights on June 3, 2020


AirAsia will resume domestic flights to the Philippines from June 3

M.Anila, Philippines – AirAsia will gradually resume services in the Philippines on June 3, following a Philippine government directive to ease community quarantine restrictions in Metro Manila and other parts of the country.

Restoration of services will initially be for key domestic routes and will gradually increase to include international destinations by July 1.

Ricky Isla, CEO of AirAsia Philippines said“During the hibernation of our fleet, we took the time to speed up our handling procedures to ensure that our guests could travel with us quickly and safely. Needless to say, we were on board. Ready to welcome everyone.When we resume our services around our network, AirAsia is committed to helping rebuild its economy and country.

Selected flights are open for booking through the Area.com website and our mobile app. Guests can use their credit account to redeem these flights. Additional routes and flight schedules will be on the AirAsia website and mobile app, subject to official approval.

As AirAsia gradually resumes services, guests are informed that they are working. Domestic flights will be temporarily transferred to Terminal 3 of Nineveh Aquino International Airport. From its previous location on Terminal 4

There is a temporary suspension of Terminal 4 operations until further notice from airport officials.

The safety and well-being of our guests and All-Stars is Air Asia’s top priority. AirAsia is following the advice and regulations of local government, civil aviation authorities, global and local health organizations, including the World Health Organization.

Guests can expect better safety measures throughout the trip, including pre-flight, flight, and arrival procedures. These include wearing a face mask, among others, travel permits. Guests are also advised to check and follow the steps taken by the local airport authorities to facilitate travel.
