M.Anila, Philippines – This Holy Week, people can practically visit historic churches through the security of their homes through Google Maps. It has a useful feature called Street View that offers a 360-degree view of the floor so that users can explore the churches as they are there.
To use, open Google Maps on the web, type in a destination, and drag the Pegman to the bottom of the screen in a specific area of the map. For mobile just enter the destination and tap on the location marker.

San Agustin Church, Intermoros (Street View)
Located within the historic walled city of Intermoros, the Church of San Agustin is considered to be the oldest church in the Philippines. During the early years, it has undergone a number of renovations due to damage from wars. Now, it stands tall with its beautiful facade and interiors, and has become a must-see stop during Vizetta Iglesia’s season.
Our Lady of the Abandoned Parish, Sta. Anna, Manila (Street View)
This 300-year-old ancient church has become an important heritage site in the streets of Sta. Anna, Manila. Inside the church there are many notable fixtures and historical ornaments, including the patron saint, Our Lady, abandoned in 1713 in Valencia, Spain.
Durga Church, Albie (Street View)
Originally established as a township for the residents of Cagayas during the Mayan volcano eruption in 1814, the Durga Church has been renovated countless times to become a secular synagogue in the province of Albi. ۔ The religious architecture also includes many parts that are considered to be the Philippine national cultural treasure.
Minor Basilica and the Metropolitan Cathedral for Impeccable Concepts, Manila (Street View)
Best known as the Manila Cathedral, it is a cathedral and a basilica dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. St. James Apostle Parish, Pampanga (Street View)

Located on one of the earliest sites of early Catholicism in Laguna, St. Gregory the Great Parish has a rich history dating back to 1571 and is an ancient display of numerous saints and old liturgical objects. The National Museum has also designated it as a national cultural treasure.
Basilica Manor del Santo Nano, Cebu (Street View)
This simple church was declared Basilica by Pope Paul VI in 1965 and was considered a symbol of Christianity’s birth and growth in the Philippines. Today, it joins a visit to churches in the province during a visit to Vizeta Iglesia. It also contains some of the most important remains, furniture and documents in the Interior Museum dating back to the 17th century.
San Pedro Cathedral, Downtown (Street View)
Located near Davao City, San Pedro Cathedral is the oldest church in the city and is said to have been first established by the Spanish settlers in the province in 1847. It is considered a national cultural treasure for its distinctive architectural features, including its curved roof that resembles a vista carrying a cross at the helm.
