Hobie Sailing Around The Idyllic Islands

W.A very interesting way to explore the Philippines, a charming island peninsula and unlimited beaches near Powder Beach, is to travel around in fun and adventure tournaments.

The Philippine Inter-Island Sailing Federation (FONSAF), a long-distance traveler in the country, recently did the 20th Philippine Hobby Challenge Stage, which went from San Juan, Long Beach to Bolingas Island. ۔

Named the country’s largest international shipping event, the annual five-day Regatta has been promoting land-friendly sports through sailing for over two decades and looking for hidden islands along the way.

This program is a unique way to enhance sailing skills, create environmental awareness, promote sports tourism, and help communities through outreach programs.

To win the Philippine Sport Tourism Awards in 2016, Challenge has launched the use of the Hobby Cat 16, a 16-foot-long, twin-light sailboat capable of negotiating in the open seas.

This year’s edition kicks off on its original route when the Regatta was introduced in 1999, with the help of Sea Front residences by Abytes Land, Rymarine, GoPro, Blood Red, and Toll Lake Yacht Club.

In the recently concluded race, the country’s naval history was rewritten when the Portuguese sailor Maria Vediora – the first female captain to rule the hedgehorn event – emerged. Along with Tomas Camillo, 10 other teams from the Philippines, Australia, the United States and Hong Kong participated.

An expat executive based in Lisbon, Vedira has been married to Filipino sailor Hegdorn and has been running the annual regatta for more than a decade.

Interesting in the race were the boats that sailed comfortably and enjoyed the sea, the sun and the sand, the nights of fellowship in the islands and everything in between.
